Why train with us instead of paying a college?

Who it's for

You don't need a CV. You need a willingness to care.

Most of our best carers came from outside the sector. If any of these sound like you, we'd love to hear from you.

  1. 1

    Career changers

Coming from retail, hospitality, teaching or office work? Your people skills transfer. We'll teach the rest.

  2. 2

    Parents returning to work

School-hours patterns, term-time options, and a team that understands family comes first.

  3. 3

    School & college leavers

A real career with real progression — not a stop-gap. Average Hayat carer is 23; our care manager is 28.

  4. 4

    New to the UK

If you have the right to work in the UK and speak conversational English, we'll help you with the rest.

  5. 5

    Semi-retired

Want meaningful part-time work with great team support? Many of our carers are in their 50s and 60s.

  6. 6

    Personal experience of care

Many of us have cared for our own family. If that's brought you here, you already know the most important parts.

Common questions

About the training programme

Is the training really free?

Yes. Hayat Care funds the full cost of the Care Certificate, Level 2 Diploma, and (if you choose to progress) the Level 3 Diploma. There are no fees, no loans, no hidden costs. We also pay your salary while you're in training — even the classroom week.

Do I need qualifications to start?

No formal qualifications are required. You need the right to work in the UK, conversational English, and a DBS check (which we pay for and process). If you can read this page, you can start.

How long is the training?

The Care Certificate takes 1 week of paid classroom time. The Level 2 Diploma typically takes 6 months part-time alongside your normal shifts. The Level 3 Diploma is another 6–12 months. You can stop at any stage — you don't have to do all three.

Where does the training take place?

The Care Certificate is delivered in-person at our training venue. Diplomas are a mix of monthly in-person workshops and on-the-job learning with assessor visits. We cluster training days to minimise disruption to your rota.

What if I fail an exam?

You can resit — no penalty, no judgement. We support every learner until they qualify — extra mentor time, additional assessor visits, and rescheduled exams are all part of the programme. We will not let you fall through the cracks.

Is the qualification recognised elsewhere?

Yes. The Care Certificate is the UK-wide mandatory standard. Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas in Health & Social Care are recognised by the NHS, social services, and care providers across the country — so your qualification travels with you.
